tried to make a reservation for May 27 2017 weekend this year. The campground was in an ownership transition and was not open.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Clean showers. Highly recomended

This is the best campground we have been to! The people are so nice! We have 3 kids that had the a great vacation bc of this place! Canoe trip was great! The fishing was awseome! They have plenty of games to keep the kids having fun. I could go on all day. We look forward to going back next year!

Stayed here for five nights. We used Betsie River Canoes & Campground for our base camp during our 53 mile Green Lake to Lake Michigan kayak trip on the Betsie River. The electric sites are only 20 amp but this was not a problem as the weather was great and never needed to use the AC. Mark and staff were great and did a fantastic job of taking care of us. What was really nice is that this isn't a "parking lot" camp ground. Lots of room to spread out. It was quiet, clean restrooms/showers and right on the Betsie River. We will be returning to this campground again so we can explore the surrounding area. The only reason I don't rate this as a five star is the lack of 30/50 amp service. But, sounds like the owner has plans for expanding and offering higher amp service in the future.

The canoe and kayak trips are good. The Betsie is where I always seen the most wildlife, but also where I've experienced the most bugs; don't forget your bug spray. River is quite and pleasant. Staff and prices are great. This place offers trips for beginners.
